The funds raised during the Santa Cash project will benefit the new Crescent Community Health Center in Dubuque in need of a dental suite. This type of investment is in the neighborhood of $25,000. Santa Cash raised $10,000 toward it.
Championing this most successful effort was project leader Bernie Fox. Bernie is a brand new Rotarian this year. Thanks to Bernie and his committee for making this project such a success.
Our transportation to help Santa deliver the cash to winners on Saturday was Eugene Bird and family and the biggest motor home we ever saw. It was a beauty. Winners of Santa Cash for this year were: Bob Schroeder, $5,000
Mike Brannon $2,500
Jim Schilling $1,000
Vicki Tschiggfrie $1,000
Bob Reding $500

| Above, Vicki Tschiggfrie screams with delight when she received the check from Santa for $1,000. Right photo, family members were on hand to congratulate Vicki at the famous Lot 1 Bar and Restaurant in the Historic Main District where the family was celebrating the holiday with friends, and Santa surprised them all. In photos above left and below, the Schroeder family pose with their check in front of their home in Asbury. |
