Vocational
Services Info
The Rotary Club of
Dubuque is fortunate to have members from many vocational and employment
areas. Researching the membership roster we find such career pursuits
as: architecture, publishing, advertising, education, real estate, banking,
music, computer services and the list goes on. This strong representation
of careers and vocational training among Rotarians within the club points
out the leadership and quality of individual Rotarians and the organization
as a whole.
Persons desiring information
about future vocations and careers are invited to contact our club and
make inquiries about the areas of special interest. We will seek out members
who would be qualified to answer your questions as we will direct you
to other community residents who have expertise in that particular area.
We are always especially pleased to assist young people and students who
may be thinking of entering a particular career. With an emphasis on youth,
the Rotary Club of Dubuque is always happy to help anyone who desires
to obtain vocational information.
In addition, our club also schedules speakers from the community who explain
their profession, occupation and employment responsibilities. Topics of
these presentations may cover public work, social services, engineering,
small businesses, education and numerous other vocational areas. These
weekly presentations are very interesting and informative for our members.
Generally, the weekly presentations at Rotary meetings last approximately
15-20 minutes.
